Nice location, welcoming staff and food ok. Enjoyed stay, but room 17 needs attention.

Stayed in room 17. Room very dusty, Cobwebs on chandelier, cobweb from wardrobe to smoke alarm. Dirty skirting boards and carpet filthy. Coffee stains on wall under kettle. Assume shower screen had been broken so repair had been made - could not move so makes getting in and out of bath/shower very difficult. Reported these points to receptionist on booking out - but she had long queue of people so I did not get very much attention or apology. This was a standard room so expect it to be more basic but there is no excuse for it not being clean. Housekeeping needs to be reviewed.

lovely hotel, our room was in the old part of the hotel and was more like a suite than a room, big comfy bed and large modern en-suite. we would return and would recommend this hotel

Folksy and the food at dinner was surprisingly good. As was some of but only some of the service.

It took 20 minutes and 6 members of staff to find our room! No-one knew where it was located. And then having established where it was another couple walked in claiming it was theirs. The hotel seemed unconcerned by this. Certainly we were more fed up than they were.

The setting was lovely & the rooms we booked were excellent. The Farmhouse was particularly nice.

The breakfast was very nice but could have done with being a little hotter. The entrance to the Farmhouse needs to be more clearly signposted as it is at the rear & not at the front door.We saw some other guests experiencing the same problem.

Room very dark, sloping ceiling by the bedside result banged head on getting up. Total disorganization at breakfast, having to wait in a holding area because restaurant full. Nobody even took our names on a waiting list to see who had been waiting longest in room with a dozen or more people, result we didn't bother eating. We paid for two nights and left after one as we couldn't stand the thought of another night there. My husband and I have a weekend away every month and have never left early before. I would rather sleep in our car than spend another night there!

    The friendly staff

Lack of room service, lack of flexibility of evening meal times on arrival, generally not as good as when we stayed before.

    Lovely location

Breakfast in morning wasn't good and serving staff were quite surly and unwelcoming.More suited for elderly guests - coach parties were there

The room decore was good, and we had a nice view onto the gardens.

The staff seemed a bit abrupt and the restaurant staff were hassled and not very professional, they were however, friendly. When we were choosing the hotel the photos showed a pretty countryside hotel set in pleasant gardens, when we arrived we were told we were in the building across the car park which was just like any motorway-side hotel and had I known this I would not have booked the hotel. The restaurant was decorated well however the food was very poor and obviously mass produced and kept warm, the chicken was dry and the cottage pie was more like soup it was so sloppy and it was very pricey considering the quality. Our room was on the ground floor and as there was no catch on the windows stopping them from opening fully we couldn't open them at night.

The room size, the location, it was very quiet, peaceful yet close to places we wanted to visit. It also had a bath which we appreciate. The price was really geat value for money when making a reservation through Booked.net.

Last minute availability. Good value. Nice buildings and decor. Room very nice. Peace and tranquility. Decor all round. Good breakfast. Staff very pleasant and strived to be helpful. Location in relation to National Trust venues, Stratford and Warwick as well as garden centres.

Some lack lustre maintenance in the grounds such a swimming pool clearly out of use. No TV signal in room. Hot water failed through pilot light being blown out.Bar staff (Spanish) out of their depth, though pleasant enough, did not understand British bar etiquette and just served those who they were nearest instead of those waiting longest. Would definately revisit and recommend hotel however.

    value for money.

Breakfast was a bit of centre and cheap, took a while to get fed each morning.

Quiet location in a countryside village. Easy check in. Compact, family feel to the hotel. Pleasant, bright rooms. Friendly staff. Close to Stratford. On tour bus route. Good breakfasts.

Lovely location, very friendly staff & atmosphere made a very nice get away hotel would recommend & definitely would stay again & again

It was lovely and quiet, and really well situated for what we wanted to do, which was to cycle around the countryside and into Stratford upon Avon. Proximity to Charlecote Park was very good too.

I thought the range of fruits at breakfast could have been better - some fresh fruit. Also no gluten free bread.
